projects

Syrian Refugee Crisis

This year, Women of Vision are helping respond to the refugee crisis by helping vulnerable children. Help send urgent essentials like food, warm blankets, and infant care kits to refugees.

India / Bangladesh Child Protection

In the past WoVFC has funded a project designed to provide after care services to child victims of trafficking and sexual exploitation. The goal of this project is to combat violence against children in its varying forms. The focus on combating violence against and protection for children is part of a global effort by World Vision.

Clean Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH)

At World Vision we believe that every child deserves clean water. It's the essential building block of life that allows children and their communities to survive and flourish. Our community-based approach gives us deep roots in the community, while our more than 60-year history gives us the longevity and experience to take quality, sustainable interventions to scale.

Bronx Storehouse

WoVFC provides funding for a World Vision storehouse of donated daily essential items for families in need. We also work directly with the World Vision team to deliver school supplies to Title I elementary and middle school classrooms in Stamford, Norwalk, Bridgeport and New Haven.

WoVFC has partnered with Inspirica for over 10 years. Inspirica is dedicated to ensuring children who are in transitional housing are given the support they need to lead stable lives. There is a loyal group of Women of Vision volunteers who work with the children at least once a month for reading nights and art nights. Additional volunteers are always welcome. Check the events page for our 2017-2018 calendar.
